Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and coordinate operational strategic plans and performance contracts, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Resource Management: Oversee optimal planning, budgeting, allocation, and utilization of resources for sustained operational and financial performance.
- Safety Standards: Champion robust safety standards, ensuring compliance with national and international aviation regulations, including ICAO, to meet the demands of various flight operations.
- Operational Excellence: Direct the implementation of support systems and technology, lead operational projects, and collaborate with the Commercial department to secure contracts.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders, government departments, and aviation regulators to ensure compliance, fostering strong interdisciplinary linkages.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the Operations & Technical department, conducting performance reviews, mentoring, and fostering high morale for an effective and motivated team.
- Budget Oversight: Contribute to the annual budget process, identifying expenditures, and ensuring cost savings while adhering to finance policies.
- Safety Accountability: Promote a safety culture, report hazards, and actively participate in safety activities, ensuring adherence to safety management systems.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within Flight Operations, Customer & Ground Services, Engineering and Maintenance, or Business Administration.
- Proven track record in leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Extensive experience in the aviation industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of governance, regulatory frameworks, safety, and technology.
- Strong communication, influencing, and networking skills.
- Ability to navigate cultural differences and drive positive change.
